Welcome! Thanks for visiting.

This site was created to show you ways to meet your health goals using nutrition counseling and massage therapy. Both of these skills allow me to provide a more comprehensive health service to balance your body, inside and out.

My interest in health care is to promote health for the whole body in the most simple and direct ways possible. My training and experiences as a registered dietitian/nutritionist and massage therapist complement each other. Both nutrition and massage taught me that our health can easily be improved and strengthened by making simple changes in our lifestyle, one step at a time.

It is my intent to help you take these steps toward improved health.

Nutrition Counseling helps you get the right nutrients from foods, specifically tailored for you, inside your body while avoiding the not-so-helpful ones. The right balance of nutrients can then be available for your tissues to be stronger and to work more efficiently without being distracted with detoxifying and removing the ineffective, or even harmful, nutrients.

I have trained in many areas of nutrition, and my specialties are in diabetes, food sensitivities, PCOS and weight loss.

Massage Therapy works on the soft tissues of the body and helps circulate the fluids. This provides a benefit similar to exercise.

I have trained in Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy, foot reflexology and manual lymphatic drainage. My specialities are in helping resolve pain due to sciatica, low-back pain, leg pain and overall stress reduction to promote relaxation.

Please take a look around my site. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Wishing you a strong and healthy 2011!

February Health Tip

Water: the most important component of our bodies.
* If we don't have enough, our brain doesn't work right, and then the messages sent back and forth between the brain and our muscles aren't clear. That's why injuries can happen more easily when we get dehydrated.
* Do you know how much water your body needs? Water requirements are based on your body weight, activity level, weather conditions and a few other factors.
